Nicolas Rosner was born in Sintra, Portugal in 1985. He started bodyboarding when he was 7 years old. He started competing at age 11, gathering some impressive titles such as Under-18 National Bodyboarding Champion, two-time runner up national champion in the Under-16-Division, three-time regional champion, 2nd place at the German Championship, semi-finalist at the Sintra Portugal Pro World Bodyboarding Championship and Semifinalist in the Eurosurf Championship .
