“With a 3:30am wake up call, I piled into a car with Shane Ackerman, Joe Clarke and Joshua Tabone to hit the road in time for first light. On arrival we were greeted by wash throughs with the occasional heavy end bowl. As the swell dropped throughout the day, conditions improved, providing the mechanical nature the wave is famous for.
